Interview on the Voice of RussiaPosted: December 5, 2013
I was interviewed about plain packaging of cigarettes on the Voice of Russia. The radio extract can be heard at the top of this page (click play on the media player, which is underneath the photo of the children smoking at the top of the webpage).
While it was not a debate, the interview was entwined with commentary from Dr Hopkins of Imperial College, London, who is a main advocate of cigarette plain packaging.
It is interesting that he acknowledges at one point that the evidence is not conclusive, which highlights just how insouciant he and his fellow ‘health campaigners’ are with the actual facts.
Note: at 3.34, I refer to ‘tobacco’ as a substance, I meant to say ‘nicotine’.
